THE SUMMARY OF THE RAMADHAN TAFSEER
THE SUMMARY OF THE RAMADHAN TAFSEER
The Qur'anic exegesis of today Wednesday at Annoor Masjeed, Wuse 2, Abuja, spoke on Abraham and his followers, including the followers of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The tafseer discussed, Verse, 67, 68 and 69 of Chapter 3 of the Glorious Qur'an.
The Qur'an explains that Abrahaam (PBUH) was sent to his people before Moses and Jesus Peace be upon them, as he came and delivered the divine message many centuries before both of them.
The Glorious Qur'an also enlightens us that among the people of the Scripture there are good people who are fair, just, kind and humble, and there is a part that is otherwise. This is also applicable to Muslims as there are upright, just and kind ones and there is part that is otherwise.
Muslims are urged to remain committed to religion by doing goodness to all and sundry. They are also warned against following people pushing to make them to be misled and doomed.
The Qur'an says:
67) Ibrahim (Abraham) was neither a follower of Moses and his people, nor a follower of Jesus and his people, but he was a true follower and a Hanifa ( Monotheism - to worship none but Almighty God Alone) and he was not of Al-Mushrikun.
68) Verily, among mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim (Abraham) are those who followed him, and this Prophet (Muhammad SAW) and those who have believed (the followers of Prophet Muhammad). And Allah is the Protector and Helper of the believers.
69) A party of the people of the Scripture wishes to lead you astray. But they shall not lead astray anyone except themselves, and they perceive not.
Some lessons:
1) Prophet Abraham was a true follower of Allah blessed with Monotheism.
2) The Qur'an teaches us to be consistent and committed to serving Allah and humanity.
3) The followers of Abraham during his time and also the Prophet Muhammad and his followers have been described as the genuine followers of Abraham
4) Almighty Allah is the helper and protector of the believers.
5) Adhering to Islam at the end of time is like holding a burning coal.
May the Almighty Allah forgive and be Merciful to us.
