THE SUMMARY OF THE RAMADHAN TAFSEER
KANO HAUSA NEWS
The Qur'anic exegesis of today at Annoor Masjeed, Wuse 2, Abuja discussed extensively 2 verses of the Chapter 3 of the Qur'an. They are Verse 78, and later Verse 79 of the Suratu of Aali Imran (Chapter of the family of Imran).
The Qur'an emphasised to us that among the people that revelation of a Scripture was given to them, some distorted its content.
78) And verily, among them is a party who distort the Book with their tongues (as they read), so that you may think it is from the Book, but it is not from the Book, and they say: "This is from Allah," but it is not from Allah; and they speak a lie against Allah while they know it.
79) It is not (possible) for any human being to whom Allah has given the Book and Al-Hukma (the knowledge and understanding of the laws of religion, etc.) and Prophethood to say to the people: "Be my worshippers rather than Allah's." On the contrary (he would say): "Be you Rabbaniyun (learned men of religion who practise what they know and also preach others), because you are teaching the Book, and you are studying it."
Some of the major lessons:
1) Some people distorted some scriptures that were revealed before the Glorious Qur'an. The Almighty Lord has warned against it.
2) The Noble Qur'an has revealed that some people speak lies and claim it is from Allah, while it is not.
3) All Prophets were/are loyal to the Almighty Lord.
4) Religious Scholars are commanded to be "Rabbaniyyun." Rabanniyyun are the scholars who train their followers on obedience to their creator, in both words and actions. Also they train their followers, to have qualities such as: piety; patience, contentment; shyness; modesty; trust; respect for elders; respect for humanity; providing solutions to challenges according to the teachings and methodology of the Prophet; forbearance; among others.
5) Mankind is urged to study the Book of Allah and follow its injuctions.
May the Almighty Allah continue to guide us aright.
