SUMMARY OF THE RAMADHAN TAFSEER

The Ramadhan tafseer of today at Annoor Masjeed, Wuse 2 Abuja discussed 4 Verses of the third chapter of the Noble Qur'an. The verses are: Verse 70, 71, 72 and 73 of Suratu Ali Imran.

The Qur'an urges the people that  the Tourah and Gospel were revealed to their Prophets to ensure they broadcast the messages without alterations or concealing in any form.

All bounties and favours are originally from Allah (SWT). Aditionally, guidance is also from Him.

70) O people of the Scripture! "Why do you disbelieve in the Ayat of Allah, [the Verses about Prophet Muhammad SAW present in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] while you (yourselves) bear witness (to their truth)."

71) O people of the Scripture: "Why do you mix truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know?".

72) And a party of the people of the Scripture say: "Believe in the morning in that which is revealed to the believers (meaning Muslims, followers of Muhammad), and reject it at the end of the day, so that they may turn back.

73) And believe no one except the one who follows your religion. Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Verily! Right guidance is the Guidance of Allah" and do not believe that anyone can receive like that which you have received (of Revelation) except when he follows your religion, otherwise they would engage you in argument before your Lord. Say (O Muhammad SAW): "All the bounty is in the Hand of Allah; He grants to whom He wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, the All-Knower.

Some lessons from the verses:

1) Mankind is urged to believe and accept all those came from Allah.

2) Mixing truth and falsehood not acceptable.

3) Believers are urged to be very steadfast in their faith and action.

4) Right and genuine guidance is always the guidance of Allah.

5) There is always a conspiracy to make believers to reject their faith and religion, by attacking their religion with falsehood and propaganda, in order to tarnish the image of the religion.

May the Almighty Allah guide us to be very consistent in our faith.
