SUMMARY OF THE RAMADHAN TAFSEER 16
The Qur'anic exegesis of today Sunday at Annoor Masjeed, Wuse 2, Abuja discussed and explained 3 verses of Suratu Ali Imran. They are Verses 59, 60 and 61 of the Chapter 3 of the Glorious Qur'an.
The verses speak on the visit of the People of Najran to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to Madinah for an engagement on the position of the Qur'an with regards to some respected personalities, including Isa and his mother. The Qur'an referred to Isa as a Prophet and among the five first class Messengers of Allah.
The Noble Qur'an says:
59) Verily, the likeness of 'Iesa (Jesus) before Allah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: "Be!" - and he was.
60) (This is) the truth from your Lord, so be not of those who doubt.
61) Then whoever disputes with you concerning him Isa after (all this) knowledge that has come to you, (with regards to Isa) being a slave of Allah, and having no share in Divinity) say: (O Muhammad SAW) "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves - then we pray and invoke (sincerely) the Curse of Allah upon those who lie."
May the Almighty Allah continue to guide all aright.
